Legislating Geothermal Energy

To systematically and fairly develop geothermal energy, it is advisable to study existing models, such as the Petroleum Act or the Groundwater Act, to draft a Geothermal Energy Act. The potential and experimental electricity production from the Fang geothermal energy trials highlight the opportunity to develop geothermal energy sources in other areas of Thailand. Geothermal energy offers a sustainable alternative for energy production without relying on limited fuel sources like oil or coal, reducing greenhouse gas emissions (CO2), promoting the economy and investment, creating investment opportunities, and enhancing regional employment, local economies, and income for residents.
